Crystal Studio Version 9.0 was released on January 8, 2007. New Features for Crystal Studio Version 9.0 are:

An expanded crystal structure database with reference sources. The new database for the Enterprise edition contains about 6000 common crystal structures and that for the Professional edition contains about 3500 common crystal strucures.

Implemented a command for creation of carbon (boron nitride or other elements) nanotubes and nanocones.

Apply distortions for nanotubes.(A Bent (6,6) Tube/HR Image), (A Twisted Elliptical Tube HR Image)

Create multi-wall nanotubes (MWCNT/HR Image) and nanocones (MWCNC/HR Image) and tube bundles.(Tube Bundle/HR Image). Available for Professional and Enterprise editions only.

Create closed end nanotubes for (9,0), (5,5), (6,6), (10,0) and (10,10) nanotubes with different tube lengths.(A Bent & Closed (10,0) Tube/HR Image)

Import of ASCII Cartesian coordinate files (.cc1 and .xyz).

Export of ASCII Cartesian coordinate files (.xyz) for input into modelling or simulation programs.

Furthermore, there are some general enhancements and improvements.
